Tired

I have had little energy to spend time blogging over the past couple of weeks. I have had even fewer profound or even interesting things to write. The past couple of weeks have been full of both tense and reassuring conversations, of pleading cries out to those who know me best and love me most, and helpful reminders that these are times in the life of ministry that kill little parts of me, but that God uses to resurrect the life of Christ in me through those mini-deaths. I am tired. I have spent most of this week, and last, exhausted. Yet, this season has been a reminder of the ways in which my heart is bound to friends and partners in ministry who are hundreds of miles away. The distance between us does not change the fact that we are co-sharers (lots of 'suv-'s in Scripture) in the good and the bad times of ministry. By experiencing them together we have the opportunity to offer each other cups of cold water in the middle of seasons of draught. We hand out words of encouragement and lift up one another in prayer. May the grace of God guide us all as we continue to share in this ministry together.
