All Saints' Day

Lord God,

You break into your world in ways that leave us dumbfounded and awestruck.

You continually sustain and reshape the world you created in your hand.

You contain the waters of chaos that continue to threaten the world.

You dwell in the midst of your people as the incarnate Christ, God in flesh.

You have moved in the past through the hands and the feet of people, the saints who served as your emissaries in the world.

And you continue to break into our lives through your Spirit.

May the paths of our lives be shaped like theirs.

May we walk the road that leads to Calvary.

May our lives be lived for others and resembled the image of our crucified Lord, who lives and reigns with you and your Holy Spirit.

One God, now and forever, AMEN.

- ERM

"Almighty God, you have knit together your elect in one communion and fellowship in the mystical body of your Son Christ our Lord: Give us grace so to follow your blessed saints in all virtuous and godly living, that we may come to those ineffable joys that you have prepared for those who truly love you; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who with you and the Hold Spirit lives and reigns, one God, in glory everlasting. AMEN."
