Today we have a high of 41 degrees in Detroit. You know you live in Michigan when you consider 41 degrees a heat wave and grab a short sleeve shirt and light jacket.
Wisdom from a Mug: Here's a bit of wisdom I read this morning over a cup o' Joe at S-Bucks.
"The greatest leader is a servant. Don't be a boss. Be a real leader, a servant leader. A servant leader is a winner. Even when he loses everything, even when he loses his life, a servant leader wins it all." Pat Williams, Sr VP of the Orlando Magic.
Sounds like something I've read somewhere before.

I always get the "thinking outside the box" Starbucks cup. Not exactly genius.
That only seems fitting for you, doesn't it? Of course, if they had a "living in the tension" cup....
High of 75 in Montgomery. Clear skies. Gentle breeze. I studied outside today on the terrace of the Montgomery Museum of Art today, in front of a sparkling lake with birds frolicking in the bright sky.
You need to find some local coffee and see if you can stop using paper cups.
Cheers.
Wish I was there reading some theology alongside you reading for the Bar.
I was buying beans to brew at the office. You get a free cup with the beans, so I got it for the road. When I read and drink in shop, I use a mug to save the paper. (And I told them to keep their handled bag and carried out the coffee in my hand!)
Kudos on the mug and eschewing the bag. Curses for not buying local coffee.
Of course, at home I drink Folgers and at school Maxwell House. I claim some moral superiority for financial stewardship, but most Starbucks at least considers fair trade.
Even so, buy local. You live in a pretty big town. Surely someone, somewhere is roasting and selling their own coffee.
Then again, maybe Lako O is so gentrified that S'bucks is the best and only way to be emergent.
