Saving Grace, Chastity, and the Community of Faith

I ran across this great little article in NYT by Lauren Winner the other day. It is an interesting piece on creating Christian community that thinks differently about how to raise our kids to think about chastity. It is an attempt to move beyond the church's (failed) recent attempts to promote chastity, such as True Love Waits, Pure Revolution, etc.

Winner is an incredible thinker and writer. I am more impressed by her with each thing I read. She has written three books to date, Girl Meets God: On the Path to the Spiritual Life, Real Sex: The Naked Truth about Chastity, and Mudhouse Sabbath. I haven't read these volumes yet, but I have heard nothing but the highest praises for her work.

I've really been impressed with Lauren Winner's writings, too. I've not read Girl Meets God but I have read the other two.

BTW, I've enjoyed perusing your reading list in the sidebar.
